Artemisia Kingdom Arts & Sciences

The Barony of Loch Salann welcomes all artisans from the Kingdom of Artemisia and beyond for a celebration of the practice and craft of Medieval arts and sciences. Kingdom Arts & Sciences will include both the Kingdom Competition and Collegium. Many fine items are expected to represent the superb talents of the artists of the Kingdom. And a day full of classes will be available for aspiring artists to learn skills from such talented instructors.
Kingdom Arts and Sciences will be held at St. Marguerite Catholic School in Tooele, UT. Site opens at 9:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm. Site fee will be $15 for adults with a $5 discount for membership. Children 16 and under will be guests of the Kingdom. Please make checks payable to Barony of Loch Salann, SCA Inc. This site is discretely damp.
The Kingdom Competition will be conducted by the Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences. To be considered for Kingdom Champion, each entrant must have a minimum of five entries in three different grand categories. Pre-registration for Kingdom Competition is due by November 8th, 2017. Pre-registration can be done via email or physical copy.
Classes for Kingdom Collegium will be scheduled by Mistress Heloys de Bec with a fighting track scheduled by Sir Dunkr Ormstunga. Please contact one of these individuals if you would be willing to teach a class. Classes are scheduled to be held between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm.
A fundraiser lunch will be coordinated by Dame Hildegardis filia Vulfram for a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $2 for youths under 16 years of age. Lunch will be available from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm running concurrently with the class schedule.
Proposed scheduled for the day is as follows and is subject to the convenience of the Crown:
- 9:00 am Site Opens
- 10:00 am Sword oath for competition/Classes begin
- 12:00-2:00 Lunch Available. (Concurrent with class schedule)
- 6:00 pm Classes end
- 6:30 pm Evening court
