Unto the Most Ancient Barony of Loch Salann do We, Æylwin and Amanda, send greetings!
The cold winds of Winter approach and Jack Frost is rearing his head once more. As the weather gets colder, we hope you will keep your hearth and home warm and that you look forward to sharing the joys of the season with friends and family!
November was a blur of activity for us as we prepared for our upcoming investiture at Winter Solstice Court. We have had so much fun learning to do pewter casting, leatherwork, sewing and so much more! We cannot wait to share the Arts and Sciences with you at Solstice and throughout the year! We shared revelry and friendship in Arrow’s Flight, joining them for the annual Toys for Tots celebration, where once again, Loch Salann showed our amazing largess in donating to the cause!
We hope to see all of you at Solstice to share in the revelry and to witness a moment in Loch Salann history as HE Dunkr and HE Oonaugh wrap up their tenure and we begin ours. Please join us for a wonderful feast provided by Johann and bring your Arts and Sciences projects, ‘new and old’ to share with the populace. There will be tournaments for board games, including Nine Mens Morris and Cribbage, as well as dancing and other classes for your enjoyment.
January will find us at 12th night in Gryphon’s lair on the 9th and at Masked Ball in Arn Hold on the 23rd! Please join us for these wonderful events! Also, there will be fun in 1000 Eyes for the Silk Road event on the 16th, so don’t miss the excitement!
On January 17th, we will have our traditional Newcomers and Awardees night, hosted by Æylwin and Amanda. While all are welcome, Baron Morgan is sending out special invites for those Awardees and newcomers, and would love assistance in identifying the newcomers among us so that they may be recognized!
We are currently looking for a new Captain for Thrown Weapons and all offices seek deputies, so please come and learn more about how the Barony operates by serving in this role! It’s a perfect way to make new friends and help plan for the success of us all!
