Unto the Most Ancient Barony of Loch Salann do We, Æylwin and Amanda, send greetings!
The Dragon problem has been resolved and I think we found all of the eggs, though time will tell. Vivat to all the baronial archers, throwers, and attendants, all, who completed the Dragon Hunt activity at the Hold Tyte estates. Now we have the harvest and the feast table is groaning under the weight of meat from the hunt! Thank you for sharing your time and camaraderie with us!
The month of October provides us with its bounty as you may travel these great lands and share your Dream with the greatest populace in the Knowne World! To kick off the month, join the adventure to go west to the Great Western War the weekend of the 3rd through the 9th. Then, on the 14th, there are two Harvest events to choose from, with our wonderful cousins in Arn Hold with Harvest Court or in Gryphon’s Lair with Harvest Hunt. Either way, it’s a win-win situation! Then on the 21st, take a trip to see who our next Prince and Princess will be at the Crown Tournament, in Cote du Ciel. Then rest up on the weekend of the 28th. Looking into November, join us on the 18th for Kingdom Collegium hosted by the Loch! Check all social media and far-seeing devices for more details!
Please note that we are now indoors for both fighter’s and archery practice. See our website and Facebook threads for more details, including classes to be taught at Fighter Practice. The Viridian Centre is kind enough to host us the third Tuesday of each month for fighter practice in trade for classes! However, Fighter Practice is in coach’s gym in Cottonwood Heights on Friday nights 8 to 10. As a friendly reminder, if these dates and times do not work for you, our cousins to the south are very excited to have you join them at Arrows Flight practice on Wednesdays at the Provo Armory. Archery is at Salt Lake Archery, near the campus of Westminster college in Sugarhouse. Join us for these and guild meetings throughout the month to hone your skills and learn new things!
We are currently looking for a Chatelaine and Hospitaller, while many offices seek deputies, such as the Deputies of the Chatelaine and Deputy Marshals, and more! Many hands make light work, so please help to make the running of events and practices easier for all! Thank you to all who have stepped up and continue to volunteer to be event stewards/ autocrats and let us know how best to support you!
May your hearth be always warm and may your travels be safe!
Æylwin & Amanda – Baron & Baroness of Loch Salann
