Unto the populace of the Barony of Loch Salann Hoggar and Bronwyn send greetings.
Spring is finally here and the beginning of event season has started. We look forward to seeing all of you at the multitude of events that are coming up. Next month the Provence of Arrows Flight is having Castle Crusade; the Siege of Malta at the Castle in Provo; May 10-12th. Following soon after is Melee Madness on June 1st & 2nd also at the Castle. King’s Road is the 4th of July weekend in the Barony of Bronzehelm and then Baron’s War will be July 19-21st.
Remember if you plan on entering the Baroness’ Champion tournament at Baron’s War you must also have an Arts & Sciences entry as well as be prepared to perform a Bardic entry. Documentation for the Arts & Sciences entry should be a single page describing what the item is, when and where it was used, and a brief description of how you made it. The Bardic entry doesn’t need any documentation.
The Renaissance Festival Demo will be Aug 23-25th at Thanksgiving Point and volunteers are needed to help man our booth. The SCA will NOT be serving feast at the demo this year.
Effective immediately Sir Eibhear will be stepping down as Knight Marshal due to a huge case of Real Life. We thank him for his service to the Barony and hope he can return to us quickly.
Letters of intent for the office of Knight Marshall will be taken from now until May 8th so we can fill this office as soon as possible. Letters need to be sent to the Knight Marshal, the Seneschal, and Hoggar and Bronwyn.
Mistress Jerilyn warrant is up in August and we need letters of intent for the Office of Exchequer as well.
His Grace Timmur is also looking for a Deputy Chatalaine who can take up his office when his warrant is up next.
The office of List Minister is currently vacant.
If you have an interest in any one of these offices or if you’d like to be a deputy to any of the other offices please send letters of intent to the current officer, the Seneschal, and Hoggar and Bronwyn.
Fighter practice will be moving to the Veteran’s Memorial Park on April 30th.
As always if you have any question or ideas please feel free to talk to us about them
We remain Yours in Service to the Dream,
Hoggar & Bronwyn – Baron & Baroness of Loch Salann
